The Himachal Pradesh Forest Department on January 04, 2025, issued the Himachal Pradesh Forest Produce Transit (Land Routes) Amendment Rules, 2025, to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Forest Produce Transit (Land Routes) Rules, 2013.
This shall come into force on January 07, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 8: Prohibition of Transport of Forest produce, sub-rule (1) shall be substituted with “(1) No person shall transport or cause to be transported any forest produce by land routes, without obtaining pass (Annexure- ‘A’) from the concerned Divisional Forest Officer or any officer or person so authorized.”
• Rule 8 sub-rule (4), shall be substituted with “(4) No person shall transport or cause to be transported any timber unless the timber is properly affixed with an export hammer mark by the forest officer authorized by the Conservator of Forests concerned.”
• Schedule I of “Annexure D” shall be deleted.
